I've been experimenting with using silver leafing, as well as ink, on clay. It's been great fun, and I am particularly excited about the look of this beautiful Eclectus pendant that almost has the look of glass!    Shown at right are some other new creations, all with starting bids UNDER $10!   Included are three unique poodles (twp pins and one magnet), a pair of beautiful multi-color leaf earrings, an older Citron Crested Pendant from my own collection, and some new "Bird Poop" pins! You can find them all in my eBay listings!

 

It has been a while since I've had cockatiels on eBay, so I picked the Lutino Cockatiel for this month's featured bird. This particular bird will always be special to me, since a lutino cockatiel was my very first bird as a child!

The cockatiels on auction for the next six days include the following: bracelet charm, choker necklace, pendant on black cord, pendant with pink heart on pink cords, magnet, pin, glass beaded bracelet, and a glass beaded necklace/earring set!

 

To take a break from orders once in a while, I love creating designs with whimsical birds, and I call them my "Flights of Fancy" pieces. I recently found these fun, funky, bumpy lamp work beads in beautiful blue and light purple, so I just HAD to make up some birds to match them! The clay was impressed with stamps and designs, then highlighted with silver metallic powers for a nice shimmer. Silver wire and beads accent each bird, and each bird is unique even though they are all created in the same color scheme.

The five "Flights of Fancy" necklace & earring sets on auction for the next six days include the following species loosely represented: a Macaw, two Budgies, an Umbrella Cockatoo, and an Eclectus shaped bird. There is a Buy It Now option on each of the Flight of Fancy sets, so if you want to snap one up, you won't have to wait a week for the auction to end!

There are also a few new Sulphur Crested Cockatoos on auction this week: a bracelet charm, a choker necklace and a glass beaded necklace/earring set!

 

The Moluccan Cockatoo is an "old favorite", and it's been a few years since they were featured, so here they are!

I'm happy to have a new computer now and am in the process of adjusting to Windows 7, learning my way around the new programs, and getting a feel for everything just in time to squeeze out the January Bird of the Month before the month ends!

This month's bird is the Citron Crested Cockatoo, and the creations on auction for the next seven days include the following: a bracelet charm, mini magnet, choker necklace, pin, pendant on cord, glass beaded bracelet, and a glass beaded necklace/earring set. I have also listed a new Greenwing Macaw choker and pendant.

I have created three unique beaded necklaces in my whimsical "Flights of Fancy" style, in shades of purple!

The birds featured are a (non-specified) parrot, a cockatiel and a Goffin's Cockatoo. Please see each auction, as there are many special details that do not show up in these preview photos!

Beautiful glass beads and amethyst stones really make these sets lovely. These would make fantastic gifts for someone who enjoys one-of-a-kind jewelry!

The Bird of the Month is a the striking Alexandrine Ringneck! I haven't made any of these for a while, and my website was needing some new "models", so here they are! Like last month's Rosellas, these Ringnecks are a more complicated bird to make with many colors to blend, but they are certainly a beautiful bird.

The collection is on sale for the next 5 days on eBay! There are a male and a female charm, male choker, male pin, female pendant on cord, male beaded bracelet and male beaded necklace/earring set.

Also on auction this week are some new "Bird Poops", a Congo Grey charm, a Moluccan Cockatoo choker, and a beaded Double Yellow Headed Amazon charm necklace with earrings.

 

I'm also having a sale on all store items - I've applied a 5% discount to EVERYTHING in my eBay Store through the end of the month! This means that all of the "Buy It Now" items are on sale, so if you've had your eye on something there, now is the time to snap it up, as I don't anticipate doing these store sales very often. The Bird of the Month is a bird that I've never sculpted before, the beautiful Crimson Rosella. Those of you in some parts of Australia probably see them frequently! I can only imagine having these beautiful birds wild in your backyard! There is great detail on the scalloping on the wings and back which was a fun challenge to create. There is a charm, choker, pin, pendant on cord, beaded bracelet and beaded necklace/earring set currently on auction on eBay!

I have also listed a large assortment of wild and wonderful red, white and blue creations - just in time for the 4th of July! The birds loosely represented are: African Grey, Amazon, Cockatiel, Cockatoo, Conure, Eclectus, Macaw and Parrotlet - however some could look like other species, so it's really up to your imagination! WOW, I've been busy - I listed 20 new items on auction on eBay this last week to celebrate the coming of summer! There is an assortment of bracelet charms, cell charms, charm choker necklaces and four more of the fantastic "Live Life, Love Life"/"Follow Your Heart" charm necklaces. Species represented this week are: Sun Conures, Quakers, Male Eclectus, Cockatiels, Nanday Conures, Red Lored Amazons, a Lutino Lovebird and Congo African Greys.

I also listed a Seagreen Lovebird Necklace Set, Male Eclectus Beaded Bracelet, and a colorful "recycled clay" pendant, as well as the Cockatoo set shown below.

After I've been sculpting for a while, I tend to get a collection of little odds and ends of clay that I put into a "scrap pile". When I get enough, I "recycle" the clay by squishing it all together - it's always fun to see what emerges, and the results are always unique! This Cockatoo looks really beautiful with the collection of green, garnet and amber glass beads. For some reason my blog was being silly and not letting me post for a while, so this post is a bit late, but the Bird of the Month for November is the Red Bellied Parrot. They are a pretty bird to wear for Fall, don't you think? The auctions this week include the following creations: a charm, a choker necklace, a female Red Belly pendant necklace, a male Red Belly pin, a beaded bracelet, and a male Red Belly glass beaded necklace and earring set.  A variety of jewelry in the Faux Ivory finish is also listed on sale. As shown below, the Faux Ivory pieces on sale include a pair of Lovebird dangle earrings, a Cockatoo pin, a parrot charm choker which could be an Eclectus or other bird of your imagination, and a Budgie parakeet charm.

Well, it has been a very difficult month, but the Bird of the Month collection for June is finally ready! Better late than never, right? Because of the many requests for Galahs over the past few months, I decided I HAD to go with this lovely bird this month. I have posted a large collection of Galah / Rosebreasted Cockatoos for auction on eBay this week, which include a bracelet charm, choker, pendant, pin, glass bead necklace sets, beaded bracelet as well as a pair of full body earrings!

There are actually two glass bead sets available this week, one with silver beads with the bird created in a brighter pink, and one with gold beads with the bird created in paler colors.
