Wow, I can't believe January is coming to an end already! I hope you all have had a wonderful start to the New Year! The month has been rather eventful, and time got away from me. The Bird of the Month for January is the Toco Toucan, and there is a beaded necklace with striking glass beads, and matching earrings. This month's jewelry is on auction for five days, ending on February 4th.

I'm happy to let you know that I have THREE new species added to my new line of molded medallion pendants! This month, I am debuting the following species, on sale on eBay: Aracari/Toucan, Conure, and Umbrella Cockatoo! There are three pendants of each species, in each of the color finishes which include pewter, antique ivory, and antique gold. Black cord necklaces are available for $3.00 additional if you want a necklace added, just let me know before you send payment. To see all of the pieces on auction, visit my eBay listings here: www.ebay.com/sch/parrotjewelry/m.html?_ipg=50&_from&_nkw&_armrs=1&_sop=10"

In addition, I have stocked my Etsy shop with more of the medallions in the African Grey and Eclectus styles (not shown here), check them out at: www.etsy.com/shop/AliciasCreations

CUSTOM ORDERS

I'm not able to take regular custom orders right now, but will be updating my website with new custom order pricing for the new year throughout the next month or two. Once I have the website updates finished, I will put the order form up and let you know when I am ready for custom orders again!

It's Budgie time! I rarely offer budgies on eBay, since these are one of the most time consuming birds to make, but last month when I was finishing up some custom orders with budgies, I decided to go ahead and create a few for you! There is a full bodied budgie, a budgie face, and a "Kawaii styled" budgie. The budgies are being auctioned eBay for five days, ending on Wednesday, May 22.

I recently had fun playing around with an attempt to recreate jade and rose quartz in polymer clay! I've been working with polymer clay for nearly 20 years now, and the versatility this amazing stuff still continues to astound me. There is no end to the different looks that can be achieved with it!

There are four Faux Jade pendants featuring an Amazon, Cockatiel, Macaw and Eclectus. They are strung on chain with an antiqued gold look. There are three Faux Rose Quartz pendants featuring a Lovebird/Parrotlet, a Conure, and an African Grey, on silver chains. All of the pendants have a high gloss finish. (All white splotches on the birds are just light reflections!)

The necklaces are all being auctioned on eBay for five days, ending on Wednesday, May 22.

The bright colors of summer always make me think of Sun Conures - one of my favorite vibrant birds to sculpt! This Bird of the Month collection is larger than usual this time, with a magnet and pair of post earrings! I rarely ever offer earrings on eBay, so if you've been waiting for some, don't miss this chance!

On auction are a magnet, bracelet charm, charm choker, post backed earrings, pendant, and beaded necklace/earring set. All of the pieces are on auction for the next 7 days on eBay, ending on Friday the 17th!

CUSTOM ORDER NEWS:

From now until January I will be cutting back on the number of custom order requests that I draw in each month's custom order "lottery drawing". Unfortunately I'll only be able to draw one or two a month (from each month's "pool") until after the holidays. Hard to believe, but the custom gift rush has begun, and I have to give priority to the increasing number of VIP/Rush orders.

In addition, I am busy developing a new line of jewelry that I'm really excited about! Hopefully in a month or two I'll be able to give you a sneak peek!

So, while this means your chances of having your custom order request in the monthly lottery will be reduced until the new year, you are always welcome to place a VIP/Rush order if you would like to have a custom order accepted and worked in! VIP orders do cost more than the regular custom orders, but instead of waiting for your chance in the monthly drawing, the VIP orders get worked in ASAP. Please note that I will only be accepting a limited number of VIP/Rush Custom Orders each month, so if you are serious about having a custom piece created in time for Christmas, it is important that you place your order by the end of September.

Facebook has changed things for public pages recently, and unfortunately it seems that at best only 25% of viewers will see my posts in their news feed, unless I pay for promoted posts, which I won't do - but there is a fix for it. So, if you are a "fan" on my Facebook page, please follow these steps to be sure that you will see my updates and posts!

1) Go to the top of my Alicia's Creations Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/AliciasCreations

2) Hover your mouse over the "Liked" button (under the top picture, on the right hand side) and a drop down menu will appear. Make sure "Show in News Feed" is CHECKED. If it isn't, click it to check it!

Want a sneak peek at next month's Bird of the Month? Click this photo of my work table for a full view of some of the things I've been working on lately.
