Need to brighten up a room, especially with the holidays around the corner? Check out these light switch plate covers that I recently made, using special inks, including one with an embossed owl. Every once in a while I need a break from polymer clay, and dabble a bit in other mediums. These unique switchplates have an eye catching look of stone or marble. Pop over to my Etsy Shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AliciasCreations to take a look!

Trick or Treat! Halloween is just around the corner, and I have created a few special necklaces for you! There is a Lutino Cockatiel necklace, with a Jack O'Lantern pumpkin, and "candy corn" beads and earrings. In addition, there is a cute little Ghost necklace set, which has a starting bid under $20! There are Buy It Now options on these two necklaces.

I was speculating about this month's Bird of the Month, and decided that the Mynah Bird would be perfect! With their black plumage, and orange and yellow beaks, they are ideal for the colors of October!

This striking glass beaded necklace and earring set is currently on auction until October 10th. Please note that ALL of this month's auctions are only going for FIVE DAYS, instead of the typical week.

There are also two Sun Conure faces including a bracelet charm and a charm necklace on auction for the next five days.

In addition there is a beautiful new "scrap clay" bird pendant up for auction! This one has a lovely blue cord & ribbon necklace, and holds a charm that says "Follow Your Dreams". It is on auction for the next five days.

I recently had the opportunity to finally visit the Iowa Parrot Rescue! It was a great experience, and I took some photos to share with you! This amazing rescue has placed over 600 birds, which is particularly impressive considering that most come to the rescue with behavioral issues and other problems.

Go to my Facebook Photo Album to view more photos from my visit. To read more about the rescue and learn more about how you may be able to help, please visit their website at: http://www.iowaparrotrescue.org
