I originally had another species in mind for January, but through an interesting twist, the Bird of the Month seemed determined to be a Canary instead! They were a fun change to create, and I am hoping that there are a few canary lovers among you out there!

There are a beaded necklace and earring set, a small pendant on cord, and a bracelet charm all on auction for one week on eBay!

In addition, a new Flights of Fancy styled Cockatoo necklace is currently on auction on eBay for the following week. There are also a new "bird poop" magnet (shown below) and pin on auction for the next 7 days!

These new creations were made using rubber stamps impressed in black clay, then highlighted with metallic pigment powders for color, and embellished with beads. They have a unique and eye catching look that is hard to capture in photos!

I've made these as magnets, which can be easily altered to also use as ornaments if you prefer. Some of the larger ones also look fantastic in my magnetic display frames as well, as wall or table art.

The birds represented resemble a Blue and Gold Macaw, Male Eclectus, Blue Headed Pionus, White Bellied Caique, Black Headed Caique, a sculpted Lovebird on a cage, and a Senegal. Tthese pieces are on eBay until Thursday. (Any unsold pieces will then be listed in my Joy Magnet Art Etsy Shop.)

New on auction are an assortment of jewelry including some gorgeous earrings with feathers donated by my female Eclectus! There is also an African Grey necklace with removable charm, a "bird poop" necklace, and another colorful "scrap clay" bird necklace. ALL of this month's auctions are only going for FIVE DAYS, and end on Thursday.

The plan for December was to have both male and female Eclectus for the Bird of the Month, but the rush of Christmas orders cut me short on time, so it's just the males! Watch for females in February!
