I had planned to have the Female Eclectus as the Bird of the Month back in February, but illness kept me from doing a collection that month - so here they are for June! With their vibrant colors, I thought they were perfect for my "Red, White & Blue" theme this month! Kaleena, my own female Solomon Island Eclectus was happy to be my "live model" for this collection! :)

With Independence Day just around the corner, I decided to create an assortment of red, white and blue parrots for you! There are a Vosmaeri Eclectus female glass beaded necklace/earring set, and bracelet charm, a Ducorp's Cockatoo glass beaded necklace/earring set, and a Hyacinth Macaw pendant necklace and face choker.

In a break from my typical parrots, I created some "Flights of Fancy" birds this month! They are more whimsical, and created in a different way, using metallic pigments on top of stamped and textured surfaces on the pendants. A silver glass leaf bead adorns each pendant, and the bird's eyes are black agate. I think of these pendants as wearable mixed media collage!

These particular birds loosely represent: African Grey, Moluccan Cockatoo, Conure, Cockatiel and Hyacinth Macaw. Beautiful glass beads in color schemes of pink, navy blue, and hints of yellow make up all of the necklaces, except for the Moluccan, which is beaded in pink and yellow.

These five unique beaded necklace/earring sets are being auctioned on eBay for the next 5 days, however these Flights of Fancy necklaces DO have the Buy it Now option for immediate purchase.

Happy Spring everyone! After several months without a newsletter or Bird of the Month, it is SO great to be back! Some health issues and a back injury put me out of commission for some time, thus the lack of news lately! I'm healing up though, and am thrilled to be getting back to work.

I thought the Pacific Parrotlet would be a nice choice for April's Bird of the Month, with all of their pretty pastel colors! On auction are an American Yellow Male beaded necklace and earring set, a Blue Male pendant on cord, and two charms: one Blue Male and one Green Male. I've beaded up one of my fun "scrap clay birds" into a necklace, with matching earrings! This long tailed parrot has many colors marbled through the body, including pale yellow, teal, crimson, with a glossy finish. The parrot could represent a variety of species, it's up to your imagination!
