Parrot Toy Angels is an all-volunteer organization committed to providing toys, food and other avian supplies to companion birds in difficult situations. Life-altering changes, natural disasters or an organization’s lack of funding all can have a negative emotional and physical impact on both birds and companion caregivers alike. Have you heard about the Parrot Lover's Cruise? It's the first fund raising cruise to benefit parrots in the wild, and takes place from Oct. 24th through Nov. 1st, with stops in Cozumel, Mexico, as well as Limon, Costa Rica and Colon, Panama. It sounds like it will be a fantastic experience for bird lovers, not only with the exciting excursions like the Rainforest Walk, but also with several speakers giving bird related lectures while on board, as well as some fun raffles! I won't be going, but I will be donating some jewelry, so if you will be on board, check it out!

The Bird of the Month is one of my favorite cockatoos, the Citron Crested Cockatoo!
I have listed a great assortment in this species including a glass beaded necklace set, beaded bracelet, pendant without cord, pendant with cord, pin, charm choker and a bracelet charm on auction on eBay till Saturday.
Also new on eBay this week are a Senegal bracelet charm, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo charm, Blue and Gold Macaw Beaded bracelet and earrings with gorgeous lamp work beads, and another bird poop pendant.

The Bird of the Month for March was entirely influenced by the charming conures that I was lucky to meet in Mexico last month! It is the Half-moon Conure/Orange-fronted Parakeet/Orange-fronted Conure (Aratinga canicularis).
A glass beaded necklace set, a pendant, a choker and a bracelet charm in this species are currently on auction on eBay for the next week. Also new on eBay this week are an albino Parakeet/Budgie charm, a Green Quaker charm choker, and a colorful whimsical parrot pin that holds a charm that says "Laugh Often".
