The gorgeous colors of autumn are surrounding me and providing endless inspiration, so it's no wonder that this Flights of Fancy collection features some birds in fall and earthy colors. Each bird has several tiny sculpted leaves, as well as the word "LOVE". The birds were sculpted from shades of brown clay, with metallic gold, silver and copper highlights. All five pendants are strung on brown ribbon/cord necklaces.

The species represented from left to right are: Macaw, African Grey, Lovebird or Parrotlet, Cockatiel, and the last one could be a Brotogeris or a Lorikeet/Lory - though they are all open to whatever species YOUR imagination can see!

There is also another Phantom Face in Faux Ivory necklace on sale this week on eBay. All of the pieces are being auctioned on eBay for the next five days.

On a side note, I just received an email from eBay congratulating me on my 10 year Anniversary of being a seller! Time sure flies, it doesn't seem like very long ago that I was just getting started selling my creations online!

This month I have a necklace, earring and bracelet set that is very different than any others I've made before! I sculpted a bird (the species is up to your imagination!) with matching oval beads, from black clay and coated with antique copper and silver metallic pigments. The disc beads were then linked together with copper toned wires. The bird is adorned with some glass beads and a small clay charm that says LOVE. Matching earrings and a bracelet are included.

This set is so striking in person, and while the beads might look like metal, the clay is very lightweight, so it is easy to wear. If someone doesn't snap this set up, I'm thinking of keeping it for myself! :)

There are also two "Flights of Fancy" pendants on eBay this week, which resemble Blue and Green Quakers, but they could be other birds, it's up to your imagination! All of this month's creations are on auction for the next 5 days on eBay, ending on Thursday the 13th!

I've come up with a new name for my "scrap clay birds" - Serendipity Parrots! The whole thing began as a "happy accident" a few years ago when I smooshed up a blob of many tiny bits of scrap clay, and realized that the outcome was so striking, and I've been enjoying making them ever since. I never know how they will turn out, and the result is always unique! I usually get enough "junk clay" at the end of the month to make a few birds, but I've been extra busy the past month, so there were a lot more clay bits to play with!

This time however, I had a little trouble with the gloss finish on a few pieces, and had some tiny air bubbles. They are not very noticeable, and they do not affect the durability or wear of the pieces. However, being a bit of a perfectionist, I'm not completely happy with them, so I'm starting the bids lower than normal on these three pieces, which resemble a Conure, Ringneck, and Cockatoo

There are also two cockatiel pieces on eBay this week, a normal face choker, and a Flights of Fancy necklace in lime green/grey/black, below. All pieces are are on auction for the next 7 days on eBay, ending on Friday the 17th!

I really LOVE making jewelry in my Flights of Fancy style! This particular bird could represent a Quaker, Conure, or some other species - what do YOU see? The pendant is so striking in black and shimmering green, with silver and gold highlights that are picked up in the glass beads. The set is really stunning in person!

There are also three other unique creations new on eBay, with a totally different look!

I sculpted a little budgie pendant in a "Kawaii style", what do you think? Also up for auction is a bright yellow Cockatiel face bracelet charm, as well as another one of my "scrap clay birds"! This one has yellow, black, and various other colors striping around. All of the jewelry is being auctioned on eBay for the next 5 days, ending on Monday.

Facebook has changed things for public pages recently, and unfortunately it seems that at best only 25% of viewers will see my posts in their news feed, unless I pay for promoted posts, which I won't do - but there is a fix for it. So, if you are a "fan" on my Facebook page, please follow these steps to be sure that you will see my updates and posts!

1) Go to the top of my Alicia's Creations Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/AliciasCreations

2) Hover your mouse over the "Liked" button (under the top picture, on the right hand side) and a drop down menu will appear. Make sure "Show in News Feed" is CHECKED. If it isn't, click it to check it!
