The Bird of the Month for March was entirely influenced by the charming conures that I was lucky to meet in Mexico last month! It is the Half-moon Conure/Orange-fronted Parakeet/Orange-fronted Conure (Aratinga canicularis).
A glass beaded necklace set, a pendant, a choker and a bracelet charm in this species are currently on auction on eBay for the next week. Also new on eBay this week are an albino Parakeet/Budgie charm, a Green Quaker charm choker, and a colorful whimsical parrot pin that holds a charm that says "Laugh Often".

All of the freezing cold and snow lately put me into the mood to make a few penguins! Here they are, the Bird of the Month for January is the adorable Chinstrap Penguin. I've never made this species of penguin before, they are really a striking looking bird, and the little "chin strap" is unique among penguins! A pin, pendant, and a glass beaded necklace and earring set are on sale on eBay.
I hope you and your feathered friends are staying warm where ever you are!

So, here is what I like to do to use up my bits and pieces of scrap clay - mash them, squish and roll them together, and the end result is always a wonderful surprise! This one came out to be a very whimsical and vibrant bird that I really love. I beaded it up into a necklace set with some pretty glass beads, and have it on eBay this week.
