Hope this finds you all well, and enjoying the end of summer!
I was very tight on time this last month, so only was able to make one bird for September's Bird of the Month, which is the White Capped Pionus! I had hoped to create a few more pieces, but this species is one of the more time consuming birds to create, with many different colors, so in the end I only was able to make one.
This beaded necklace/earring set is on auction for the next 5 days on eBay, ending on Thursday! In addition, there are a few other necklaces on eBay this week. One is a new "Serendipity" pendant on eBay, this time in a pretty mix of maroon, red, white and blue, with ribbon cord necklace. There is also a cute Umbrella Cockatoo necklace. All of this month's auctions are on eBay for the next 5 days on eBay.

This month I have a necklace, earring and bracelet set that is very different than any others I've made before! I sculpted a bird (the species is up to your imagination!) with matching oval beads, from black clay and coated with antique copper and silver metallic pigments. The disc beads were then linked together with copper toned wires. The bird is adorned with some glass beads and a small clay charm that says LOVE. Matching earrings and a bracelet are included.
This set is so striking in person, and while the beads might look like metal, the clay is very lightweight, so it is easy to wear. If someone doesn't snap this set up, I'm thinking of keeping it for myself! :)
There are also two "Flights of Fancy" pendants on eBay this week, which resemble Blue and Green Quakers, but they could be other birds, it's up to your imagination! All of this month's creations are on auction for the next 5 days on eBay, ending on Thursday the 13th!

The bright colors of summer always make me think of Sun Conures - one of my favorite vibrant birds to sculpt! This Bird of the Month collection is larger than usual this time, with a magnet and pair of post earrings! I rarely ever offer earrings on eBay, so if you've been waiting for some, don't miss this chance!
On auction are a magnet, bracelet charm, charm choker, post backed earrings, pendant, and beaded necklace/earring set. All of the pieces are on auction for the next 7 days on eBay, ending on Friday the 17th!
CUSTOM ORDER NEWS:
From now until January I will be cutting back on the number of custom order requests that I draw in each month's custom order "lottery drawing". Unfortunately I'll only be able to draw one or two a month (from each month's "pool") until after the holidays. Hard to believe, but the custom gift rush has begun, and I have to give priority to the increasing number of VIP/Rush orders.
In addition, I am busy developing a new line of jewelry that I'm really excited about! Hopefully in a month or two I'll be able to give you a sneak peek!
So, while this means your chances of having your custom order request in the monthly lottery will be reduced until the new year, you are always welcome to place a VIP/Rush order if you would like to have a custom order accepted and worked in! VIP orders do cost more than the regular custom orders, but instead of waiting for your chance in the monthly drawing, the VIP orders get worked in ASAP. Please note that I will only be accepting a limited number of VIP/Rush Custom Orders each month, so if you are serious about having a custom piece created in time for Christmas, it is important that you place your order by the end of September.

I've come up with a new name for my "scrap clay birds" - Serendipity Parrots! The whole thing began as a "happy accident" a few years ago when I smooshed up a blob of many tiny bits of scrap clay, and realized that the outcome was so striking, and I've been enjoying making them ever since. I never know how they will turn out, and the result is always unique! I usually get enough "junk clay" at the end of the month to make a few birds, but I've been extra busy the past month, so there were a lot more clay bits to play with!
This time however, I had a little trouble with the gloss finish on a few pieces, and had some tiny air bubbles. They are not very noticeable, and they do not affect the durability or wear of the pieces. However, being a bit of a perfectionist, I'm not completely happy with them, so I'm starting the bids lower than normal on these three pieces, which resemble a Conure, Ringneck, and Cockatoo
There are also two cockatiel pieces on eBay this week, a normal face choker, and a Flights of Fancy necklace in lime green/grey/black, below. All pieces are are on auction for the next 7 days on eBay, ending on Friday the 17th!

These striking Serendipity parrots were created from scrap clay layers of black, wasabi green, and yellow stripes, with a fantastic graphic look!
There is a larger macaw type of parrot, and then a smaller parrot that could be an Eclectus, Pionus, or whatever your imagination can see! I beaded both pendants onto necklaces with a few simple black glass beads, and matching dangle earrings.
The necklace/earring sets are on auction for the next 7 days on eBay, ending on Friday the 17th!
