One of the benefits of being laid up ill for so long a few months ago was that I had a lot of "couch time", in which I browsed through a LOT of great books. One in particular that inspired me featured historical jewelry, so it's no surprise that some of my newest pieces have a bit of that "flavor"!
Galah lovers will need to check out the Rose Breasted Cockatoo necklace! There is also a beautiful beaded necklace and earring set featuring another Waterhouse painting that I love.
The three other new necklaces do not feature images, but instead are sculpted around glass stones, some with Swarovski crystals embedded. The necklaces are all being auctioned on eBay for five days, ending on Wednesday, May 22st.

I have two new ARTdornments necklaces for you this month! On the left is a piece that features a painting that I've loved for many years, showing a beautiful lady in flowing purple robes, feeding a sparrow. The image is titled "Libra and Her Sparrow", by Sir Edward John Poynter, from 1907. It's set in a hand sculpted frame, with a great cut-out shape where you can see the image set under thick glass. The frame has an antiqued silver finish, with 6 amethysts adorning the chain.
On the right is a necklace featuring a painting titled "Golden Angel" by Polish Artist Teodor Axentowicz. The frame has a very pretty design, with an antiqued gold finish. Beautiful speckled glass beads, as well as some lovely fire agates make up the necklace, with matching dangle earrings included. (Please see the listings on eBay for many more photos showing the details.)
Both necklaces are being auctioned on eBay, ending on Friday, with a Buy It Now option. I also have four pairs of sweet old fashioned charm earrings left (not shown), and am auctioning them at discounted prices this week! There is a gorgeous ARTdornment piece on sale this week, which features a male and female Eclectus in an ornately sculpted frame, done in antique gold, with matching earrings, as well as a bracelet. Beautiful green jasper stones highlight the jewelry.
In addition, there are five new pairs of charm earrings (shown below). While they are not bird related or sculpted from clay, I just think they are adorable! The new charm earrings feature: roses, ballerinas, violins, elephants, and books. They would make a nice last minute gift!
All of the pieces shown here are being auctioned on eBay for five days, ending on Wednesday.
