I have two new ARTdornments necklaces for you this month! On the left is a piece that features a painting that I've loved for many years, showing a beautiful lady in flowing purple robes, feeding a sparrow. The image is titled "Libra and Her Sparrow", by Sir Edward John Poynter, from 1907. It's set in a hand sculpted frame, with a great cut-out shape where you can see the image set under thick glass. The frame has an antiqued silver finish, with 6 amethysts adorning the chain.

On the right is a necklace featuring a painting titled "Golden Angel" by Polish Artist Teodor Axentowicz. The frame has a very pretty design, with an antiqued gold finish. Beautiful speckled glass beads, as well as some lovely fire agates make up the necklace, with matching dangle earrings included. (Please see the listings on eBay for many more photos showing the details.)

Both necklaces are being auctioned on eBay, ending on Friday, with a Buy It Now option. I also have four pairs of sweet old fashioned charm earrings left (not shown), and am auctioning them at discounted prices this week! To see all of the listings, go to: http://www.ebay.com/sch/parrotjewelry/m.html?_ipg=50&_from&_nkw&_armrs=1&_sop=1

There is a gorgeous ARTdornment piece on sale this week, which features a male and female Eclectus in an ornately sculpted frame, done in antique gold, with matching earrings, as well as a bracelet. Beautiful green jasper stones highlight the jewelry.

In addition, there are five new pairs of charm earrings (shown below). While they are not bird related or sculpted from clay, I just think they are adorable! The new charm earrings feature: roses, ballerinas, violins, elephants, and books. They would make a nice last minute gift!

All of the pieces shown here are being auctioned on eBay for five days, ending on Wednesday.

It was exciting to finally launch my new line of jewelry last month! (If you missed the news last month, you can see the new webpage here: www.artdornments.com and new Etsy Shop here: www.artdornments.etsy.com) There is also a new Facebook page dedicated just to ARTdornments, at www.facebook.com/ARTdornments I'd LOVE to have you come over and "Like" the Facebook page, and let me know if you have any particular images, bird species, or themes that you'd like to see created in this new style!

There are two beautiful new one-of-a-kind necklace & earring sets in my latest line of jewelry this month. One features an image of a Victorian lady with two greyhounds, set in antique gold. The other set features a Congo Grey, in antique silver. Both necklaces have hand sculpted frames, and are beaded with semi-precious stones. Please see the auction listings to view the pieces more clearly, as there are many details that need to be seen enlarged to appreciate! Both sets are being auctioned on eBay for the next five days.

The charm earrings that I offered last month seemed to be popular, so I've made a few more (not shown here) as well as this new set of wonderful greyhound earrings! Check out my auctions to see all of the earrings available on eBay this week.

Oh, I've been waiting for this day for ages! I'm incredibly excited to finally unveil the first lot of jewelry in the my new line! It is called "ARTdornments" and features antique art that I have hand sculpted polymer clay frames around, with various aged metallic finishes. Many of the one-of-a-kind pendants are beaded into unique necklaces with semi-precious stones and beautiful glass beads individually wired together. There are also some simpler styles strung on fine chain. Most of the necklaces pictured include matching earrings.

This new line has an old-fashioned feel that invokes the romantic beauty of days gone by. I've always adored past eras, including the styles of Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Nouveau artists, as well as Medieval and Renaissance themes, so a mixture of all of the above is the inspiration for this new line. In the near future I'll be creating pieces featuring some of my favorite Pre-Raphaelite images, as well as many more wonderful avian illustrations and animal themed art. I have to say that I am so in love with this particular style, more than any jewelry I've ever created!

The pieces currently for sale in the new style feature: Major Mitchell's/Leadbeaters Cockatoos, Lady with Barn Owl, Girl with Amazon, Lady with Greenwing Macaw, Lady with Bird (Unknown Species), the Garnier Paris Opera House, and an African Grey in Bronze Setting. (Grey lovers, I want to let you know that I will be listing a different Congo African Grey necklace set in an antique silver setting next month.) I plan to have at least one new ARTdornments piece to auction every month along with all of the "regular" parrot jewelry that I offer in my monthly collections. However, like all of my sculpted work, these pieces are one-of-kind, so if you see one that you really love, be sure to bid!

This is your chance to own one of my very first pieces in the new style; all of the pieces shown above are being auctioned on eBay, ending on Monday, September 29th. If anything is left afterwards, it will be sold through the new ARTdornments Etsy shop (dedicated exclusively to the new work) at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ARTdornments
