I had planned to have the Female Eclectus as the Bird of the Month back in February, but illness kept me from doing a collection that month - so here they are for June! With their vibrant colors, I thought they were perfect for my "Red, White & Blue" theme this month! Kaleena, my own female Solomon Island Eclectus was happy to be my "live model" for this collection! :)

With Independence Day just around the corner, I decided to create an assortment of red, white and blue parrots for you! I took a trip to Australia this month - well, in my imagination anyways. ;) One of my favorite Australian cockatoos is the Galah, or Rose Breasted Cockatoo. Their puffy crests, and pretty pink and grey colors always catch my eye! It's been a while since I've offered some on eBay, and I've been receiving a lot of requests, so I chose this species for May's Bird of the Month!

While on my "virtual trip" to Australia, I had a cuddle with a Koala Bear! ;) They are such huggable looking creatures, aren't they? I've never sculpted one before, but decided to give it a try!

Happy Spring everyone! After several months without a newsletter or Bird of the Month, it is SO great to be back! Some health issues and a back injury put me out of commission for some time, thus the lack of news lately! I'm healing up though, and am thrilled to be getting back to work.

I thought the Pacific Parrotlet would be a nice choice for April's Bird of the Month, with all of their pretty pastel colors!
