I took a trip to Australia this month - well, in my imagination anyways. ;) One of my favorite Australian cockatoos is the Galah, or Rose Breasted Cockatoo. Their puffy crests, and pretty pink and grey colors always catch my eye! It's been a while since I've offered some on eBay, and I've been receiving a lot of requests, so I chose this species for May's Bird of the Month!

On auction are a bracelet charm, charm choker, pendant, and beaded necklace/earring set. All of the cockatoos are on auction for the next 5 days on eBay, ending on Thursday!

While on my "virtual trip" to Australia, I had a cuddle with a Koala Bear! ;) They are such huggable looking creatures, aren't they? I've never sculpted one before, but decided to give it a try!

This beaded Koala necklace/earring set is currently on auction on eBay for the next 5 days, ending on Thursday, however there is a Buy It Now option on this one, so it could be snapped up!

Happy Spring everyone! After several months without a newsletter or Bird of the Month, it is SO great to be back! Some health issues and a back injury put me out of commission for some time, thus the lack of news lately! I'm healing up though, and am thrilled to be getting back to work.

I thought the Pacific Parrotlet would be a nice choice for April's Bird of the Month, with all of their pretty pastel colors! On auction are an American Yellow Male beaded necklace and earring set, a Blue Male pendant on cord, and two charms: one Blue Male and one Green Male. All of the parrotlets are on auction for the next 5 days on eBay, ending on Saturday!

This cute Green Quaker charm is also currently being auctioned on eBay, ending on Saturday!

I've beaded up one of my fun "scrap clay birds" into a necklace, with matching earrings! This long tailed parrot has many colors marbled through the body, including pale yellow, teal, crimson, with a glossy finish. The parrot could represent a variety of species, it's up to your imagination!

This set is being auctioned on eBay for the next 5 days, and ends on Saturday!

These new creations were made using rubber stamps impressed in black clay, then highlighted with metallic pigment powders for color, and embellished with beads. They have a unique and eye catching look that is hard to capture in photos!

I've made these as magnets, which can be easily altered to also use as ornaments if you prefer. Some of the larger ones also look fantastic in my magnetic display frames as well, as wall or table art.

The birds represented resemble a Blue and Gold Macaw, Male Eclectus, Blue Headed Pionus, White Bellied Caique, Black Headed Caique, a sculpted Lovebird on a cage, and a Senegal. Tthese pieces are on eBay until Thursday. (Any unsold pieces will then be listed in my Joy Magnet Art Etsy Shop.)
